A round the world non stop record challenge

 in a modified 5.8m Class Globe 

Alessio Campriani is busy with his challenge at the smallest boat around the world via the great capes record. He is doing it in a modified 580 and has added a hard dodger, a crash bulkhead in the bow - Like the bulkhead in the Setka A, a larger stronger mast section, Twin rudders, Hydraulic autopilot , an escape hatch in the hullside near the bow and a stainless bowsprit amongst other changes.

 Raspberry Pi Navigation System

I have been busy setting setting up a navigation system that runs on a raspberryPi computer, a 10 inch screen and a USB GPSmouse -  that combines charts,  grib files as an overlay and ais data wirelessly sent from my Onwa ks200+ - it does weather routing as well - using wind instruments I could even get their data via SignalK. I am busy working out Polars as well, at the moment I am using polars from a Muscadet as I have not yet created a custom polar file.
